Natalie is a mature, empathetic and competent psychologist. She has built an excellent reputation over 15 years in a range of settings including not-for-profit organisations, occupational rehabilitation, private practice and residential facilities.
Natalie commenced her career working with refugees experiencing complex trauma and PTSD. She is highly experienced working with depression; anxiety-based mood disorders including generalised anxiety, adjustment disorders, OCD, trauma, self-harm and eating disorders; and grief and loss. Having worked in residential care with clients experiencing impulsive behaviours and associated addictions, Natalie has both the skill and the interest to assist this client demographic, which can also present with more complex mental health conditions, such as psychosis and schizophrenia.
In addition, Natalie has worked for many years with people experiencing chronic pain and assisting them to reduce the psychological impact of this pain and establish an improvement in their mood and functioning, leading them back to a productive life.
Natalie is committed to working within evidenced based best practice and is trained in ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), Schema Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Hypnotherapy. Natalie is also experienced in delivering group therapy and group educational programs.
